Town Clerk/Tax Collector Office- Office Hours for Jan 22nd to Jan 25th; and Announcement of Closure after that date Due to Resignation of Town Clerk/Tax Collector and Staff and Limited hours for Election Related Activities Only
Note: Anyone needing MV Registration Expiring at the end of January or needing a New Registration between January 25th and February 7th, 2024 needs to register them on January 24th or January 25th as the Town Clerk's/Tax Collector's Office will be closed for about a month while new clerks are training.
Online MV Registration Renewal Services will be suspended on January 25th, and they will not be available until at least the third week in February at this point.
We are currently making arrangement for MV service in another town or towns, and that information will be announced in the next few days; however, such services will not start until February 7th. Services will be limited while the new Town Clerk's Office Staff trains! Training does not start until February 12th. This will be all new employees; since the current staff has resigned. Patience and understanding is expected while seeking services at alternative locations when those are announced , and at the Allenstown Town Hall when it reopens following a few weeks of training.
Online Services will be suspended or limited during this time of training also!
You will still be able to mail, or drop payments in the drop box outside Allenstown Town Hall for property tax payments by check, but not MV Registrations.
