FOR SALE-1960 REO Fire Tanker Truck
The Town of Allenstown is auctioning a 1960 REO tanker truck. This vehicle was a forestry fire tanker truck. The 500 gallon tank is on a 2 ½ ton military truck chassis. The brakes are not functioning at this time. The vehicle is located at the Allenstown Highway Department facility located at 161 Granite St.
The Town will accept sealed bids to sell this vehicle until Wednesday, April 30th at 5 pm. The bids should be sealed in an envelope entitled “sealed bid 1960 REO Tanker Truck”. The bid inside the document should have the name of the bidder, address, phone number and email address. The bidder must indicated the proposed bid to purchase the vehicle. The vehicle will be sold as is with no warranties. The successful bidder must make payment to the Town no later than May 15th and take possession of the vehicle.
