$500,000 Grant Awarded for New Community Center

The Community Development Finance Authority voted yesterday to award the Town of Allenstown a Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $500,000 for the proposed new Community Center at the Whitten Street Park. A total of $1.2 million has been awarded for this project so far. The Town will be applying for another CDBG for an additional $500,000 to incorporate a Senior Center in this proposed new facility.
