Temp Traffic Detour-Trucks Ferry St./Canal St.

The Highway Department has implemented a temporary detour for trucks on Canal St. Trucks traveling to the Waste Water Treatment Facility will access the WWTF from Canal St. However when the trucks leave the facility they will exit via. Ferry St. to Main St.
The reason for the temporary detour for trucks only is the water impact to sections of Canal St. The roadway is very spongy. The temporary detour will remain in effect until the roadway dries out. The goal is to reduce damage to the roadway.
