Thursday, June 22nd, 2023, and possibly the 23rd, the bridge on Route 28 between
Allenstown and Pembroke will be CLOSED from 8am to 4pm.
The heavy rains from last week washed a number of trees under the bridge causing a number of issues.
A crane needs to be on the bridge to remove them.
The detour will use Buck Street in Pembroke for both directions, so there will be a closing with an officer on Rt. 28 at the south end of River Road. A
Only traffic going to points between the detour and the bridge or traffic going to Deerfield Road will be allowed to go northbound!
Other traffic will be directed back towards Turnpike Street and under the double decker bridge to Buck Street for northbound travel beyond the bridge.
