The EDC held a secret ballot to select winners. The Police Dept. and Fire Dept. made their own secret choices and had no knowledge of the EDC choices. The results were a real surprise.

The Awards Ceremony was held on Saturday October 29th at 4:00 at the Town Hall Gazebo. It was an unusually warm but breezy day. EDC members Lisa Lemire and Nancy Beaulieu outfitted the gazebo with lights and spooky Halloween decorations and served cider and snacks.
EDC members then announced the winners and awarded the prizes and trophies.The awards included trophies and gift cards to local businesses for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place and trophies for homes selected by the Fire Dept. and Police Dept.
FIRST PLACE: Jeff and Sophie Brockstedt, 6 Sullivan Drive
SECOND PLACE: Amy & Richard Murphy, 213 River Rd.
THIRD PLACE: Russ and Jackie Langille, 39 River Rd.

Schedule of Activities
- Oct. 2 to Oct. 22 – Register your house decorations;
DEADLINE EXTENDED - Oct. 18 to Oct. 27 – EDC, Police Dept., & Fire Dept. to view homes and agree on best decorations
- Oct 28, 4:00 p.m. (Saturday) – Attend Awards Ceremony featuring prizes for Best Decorations - at Town Hall
- Oct. 31 (Tuesday) – Halloween

Winners will be announced and prizes awarded at the Awards Ceremony at Blueberry Express Park (Town Hall lawn) on Saturday, October 28th at 4:00 p.m.What You Need to Do
First, starting on October 2nd until October 22 (EXTENDED), you need to register your Allenstown home. Send an e-mail to the Halloween Contest Registration Address.
Include your name, address, and one or two photo of your decorations. The photo is required so that everyone can preview your decorations and then find them after dark.
Second, from October 2 till October 27, residents should keep checking this web page to view photos of the homes that are participating in the contest. Drive around town and check them out in person. The EDC, Police Dept., and Fire Dept. will check out all the decorated homes in town and decide on the winning decorations.
Third, come to the Halloween Lighting Awards Ceremony at Town Hall on Saturday, October 28th at 4:00 p.m. and celebrate!
First, second, and third place trophies and prizes for Best Decorations are to be awarded by the EDC. Trophies for Best Decorations are also to be awarded by the Police Dept. and Fire Dept.
