ALLENSTOWN PLANNING BOARD

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING AMENDMENTS

Date of Notice: December 4, 2014

Notice is hereby given in accordance with RSA 675:7 that the Allenstown Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at a meeting beginning at 7:30 PM at the Allenstown Fire Department, 1 Ferry Street, Allenstown, NH on proposed revisions to the Allenstown Zoning Ordinance. The revisions were prepared by the Planning Board and the effect of the proposed amendments would be to:

1.      To revise the building code and life safety ordinance to update statutory references.

2.      To revise numerous definitions including: Apartment, Apartment Building, and Manufactured Home.

3.      To add definitions for: Manufactured Home Site and Presite Built Housing.

4.      To repeal the definitions of: Mobile Home and Manufactured Housing Park.

5.      To repeal the Mobile Home Building Permit Ordinance.

6.      To repeal the Mobile Home Ordinance and Regulating the Installation of Mobile Homes Including Mobile Home Parks Ordinance.

7.      To repeal existing Article XVII Manufactured Housing Ordinance and replace with a new Article XVII Presite Built Housing and Manufactured Housing Ordinance for the purpose of identifying a zone for manufactured homes and presite built homes and regulating the manner in which such housing can be provided, either as a single unit or as part of a cluster arrangement.

8.      To allow kindergartens by right in the business zone.

9.      To create a 20-foot front setback in the Business zone.

10.   To create a 20-foot front setback in the Industrial zone.

11.   Revise Section 1113 to allow access for one site onto another for any commercial use not just in on 3 & 28; 52.

12.   To enact certain performance standards to Article XXIV, the Groundwater Protection Overlay District.

13.   To enact certain performance standards to Article XXV, the Permeant (Post-Construction) Stormwater Management Ordinance.

14.   To enact certain administrative revisions to the Ordinance.
