LOCATION CHANGE!!!-Education Funding Meeting

LOCATION HAS CHANGED TO THE ARMOND DUPONT SCHOOL, 10.5 SCHOOL ST.

The Budget Committee, School Board and Board of Selectmen will be meeting with Senator John Reagan, Representative Alan Turcotte and Representative Carol McGuire to discuss House Bill 525 and the cuts to education funding.  The Allenstown School District receives the highest amount of stabilization funding from the State as a portion of its budget than any other community.  Legislation passed in 2012 reduces this funding by 4% each year starting in 2017 until the funding is eliminated completely in 2032.  This reduction in funding will require additional property taxes to be raised to replace the funding from the State being reduced.  

The meeting will be held at the ARMOND DUPONT SCHOOL located at 10.5 SCHOOL St. in the MEDIA CENTER on Thursday, December 14th, 2017 at 6 PM.  The purpose of the meeting is to work with the town's legislative delegation to address the scheduled funding reductions.  The public is welcome to attend.
