Public Hearing #2 on Purchase of Map and Lots 114-001 and 115-01 by the Town of Allenstown for a Future Trail

There will be a public hearing in accordance with NH RSA 41-14a on the purchase of two parcels of land located across from Canal Street with road frontage on Ferry Street.  The two parcels in question are Map 114 Lot 001 and Map 115  Lot  001.  Both of these parcels were once part of the Boston and Maine Railroad.  The plan for this property once purchased would be to build trails on them and link them to the Hooksett Trail which is adjacent to the Merrimack River, and eventually cross the Suncook River to the Town of Pembroke.  There are several plans for trail expansion in the area.  You can read more about these plans at the following Website.  More Specifically Page 9 for Allenstown and the proposed trail. .  http://www.snhpc.org/pdf/RTP_2012_FINAL.pdf
